I remember heading off to Snowdonia with Blanch aged eleven to climb mountains. We were on a school trip staying in youth hostels for a week. We conquered Snowdon and other peaks in a coming of age holiday that none of us will ever forget. Thing is Blanch could remember every single detail where we stayed where we climbed who was there. I shall miss him reminding me of all sorts of events and people from our schooldays that I have long forgotten. Mind you there is one detail of the Welsh trip he would have liked to forget I was travel sick on the way back and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
